My name is Jennifer and I am a community activist working for a foundation that helps seniors and people with disabilities. In my blog, I talk about what community organizations are, how they work, and more.
The main activities of NGOs can be divided into several categories, according to their objectives. Among what a CBO can do are:
- protection of social interests;
- national and cultural issues;
- creative initiative;
- environmental issues;
- age associations (for example, people of advanced age), etc.
But the main thing that a public organization can do is to defend common interests in the legal field and achieve their goals.
All the main types of NGOs allow participants to get the necessary assistance in achieving their objectives, to popularize the purpose of NGOs. After all, there are citizens for whom a similar problem or aspiration is relevant.
Public organizations are also an opportunity to communicate with like-minded people, to find new approaches and solutions.
